After you’ve passed the Final Interview day and if you preferenced either of Urban Teachers’ secondary programs (Mathematics or English Language Arts) and want to be placed in Baltimore or DC, you will be asked to complete a 30-minute assessment. There is nothing you need to prepare in advance. This assessment will be used to determine your program placement if you are given an offer.
Assessments will be administered to all candidates who are interested and signed the Letter of Intent on a monthly basis starting in October. Decisions about program placement will be announced monthly with one of three options: acceptance to program of study, waitlisted for program of study, or admittance to elementary education. Last notifications will be in late May 2019 once the cohort is complete.
If you preferenced Elementary Education, there is no additional assessment needed. Decisions regarding program placement in Dallas/Fort Worth will be determined by PACT test scores.
